Who We Are
We are an organization dedicated to the proposition that the
original Founders of our great nation, building on the courage,
commitment, and wisdom of their forefathers, and endowed with
God-given guidance, formulated an absolutely brilliant
governmental architecture that is unrivaled in the history of
all mankind. To this day, the United States of America and its
unparalleled constitutional form of government remains a
towering beacon of light in a darkening and increasingly
dangerous world.
The unequivocal mission of The American Republic is to amend the US Constitution under Article V to include TERM LIMITS for the US Congress. Why? It is simple: to correct any problem you must go to the root cause.
America is at a point of challenge unlike ever before. Within the context of a serious global financial crisis the irresponsible fiscal policy being proposed and implemented by Congress will crush the US economy with massive overspending and debt loads. Additionally, Congress has proposed massive tax increases in the form of confiscatory taxes on the wealthiest of Americans, destructively higher tax levels on the middle-class, higher energy costs across the board through taxation and overregulation, and finally, the cruelest tax of all that will ultimately affect all Americans: high inflation, perhaps even hyper-inflation.
Through equally reckless and immature legislation the Congress, in support of an extremely aggressive and inexperienced executive branch with questionable motivation, also seeks to obtain de facto control of the major means of production, distribution, and exchange in this country, as well as nationalizing – and destroying – what is the finest health care system on earth.
They also have proposed legislation to significantly infringe on the Second Amendment rights of all Americans. They have clearly overstepped their Constitutional authority in using the tax code as a political weapon against a targeted segment of law-abiding Americans, and by passing ex post facto bills of attainder. This is the most massive, explosive, and expensive expansion of government size and scope in American history.
Congress is the reason it is happening!
The Congress has failed all Americans. They have failed in their constitutionally prescribed role of providing checks and balances on the other branches of the central government; they have failed in their constitutionally prescribed role of Advice and Consent to the executive branch; they have failed in their constitutionally prescribed role of oversight of the nations finances and the Federal Reserve System. Their inexcusable negligence and dereliction in the performance of their constitutionally prescribed duties puts them in direct violation of their oath of office, and leads us to the inescapable conclusion that the Congress has been corrupted by tenure and self-serving greed to such an extent that it no longer represents the best interest of the American People.
Standing by silently without comment is not an option and certainly not what The American Republic is about. We will not ever shrink from our mission, and we will succeed! It’s time for straight talk and common sense, and coming to the realization that there has never been another time like this in our history.
We also want to provide our readers with useful informational links to reinforce our commentary, and help provide factual historical background to them so that they may know the truth about America, and not the revisionist history and disingenuous reporting from the modern-day ‘mainstream’ media’s ‘ministry of truth’.
Yes, we have many challenges to face but we are American Patriots! And like American Patriots of the past we can, and we will, overcome and rise above every obstacle. But make no mistake! It will take all of us working tirelessly together, regardless of political or religious beliefs, age, race, or gender. That is of no consequence. Though political discussion is unavoidable at times during the course of our activities, this is not a partisan political organization and will not become one. You see, politics is the art of compromise, but there will be no compromise in our quest to achieve our goal of TERM LIMITS for the US Congress!
America was founded on the principles of rugged individualism, self-reliance, and self-determination and nothing has changed. We shall never surrender our rights or our freedom to any central government, and we will use our rights and freedom to their fullest extent in their defense. We are amending the US Constitution to ensure those same rights and freedom for our citizens, and for future generations.
